Context:
This is an exercise used to review materials using the active learning approach

Schedule:
10 minutes at beginning of class

Preparation:
Prepare vocabulary review by using putting the word on one index card and putting the meaning on another.

Background Information:
Students would have already chosen team players by a system where students find partners for the hours on the clock, for example, 1:00 partners, 2:00 partners and so on. So when doing this activity I just said to pair up with your 2:00 partner and complete the activity.

Teaching Suggestions:
When students enter room, they are paired up with a partner and all given index cards. Some have definitions and some have the words. The team that can put together the most vocabulary in the least amount of time, win the contest and lead the other students through a reveiw lesson regarding the vocabulary words.

Discussion Questions:
Did partners cooperate?
What did you find the hardest?
Did you work with someone new today?
Did you think the exercise helped with reveiwing vocabulary?
